| Sentenced frontman Ville Laihiala has contributed immensely to the Finnish outfit being considered among the leaders of Gothic metal. Having a desire to relinquish his vocal duties and take up the guitar, Ville formed Posionblack as an outlet through which to display his talent. Recruiting Charon vocalist J.P. Leppaluoto, Ville has created another superb Gothic metal band in the vein of his beloved Sentenced. Leppaluoto's distinctive baritone lends the requisite darkness to the heavy riffs of Laihiala and the pwoerful bass lines of Janne Kukkonen. Escapexstacy, Poisonblack's debut, is a must for fans of not only Sentenced but Beseech, H.I.M., and To/Die/For. |
