Voodoo Lordz

Flag of the United States
  Origin: Detroit, MI
  This page updated 03.21.03

Detroit-area Voodoo Lordz are a promising metal band that combine elements of thrash, power metal, and modern metal (i.e. Godsmack) on their album Lifes Games. They trace their roots back to 1999 when they were known by another name, ultimately signing a failed record deal on the West Coast. Rising from that experience, the guys released an indie album in 2002 and are working hard to gain the exposure they deserve. Singer Chris Van Wert's vocal deliver bears a striking resemblance to Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine, and in fact much of the album sounds like slightly slower paced Peace... era Megadeth. Fans of the aforementioned bands will enjoy Voodoo Lordz.
