Rising from the tragic dissolution of the Viking metal band Scald, Tumulus is a progressive folk metal band that incorporates the Slavic musical and pagan traditions into their compositions. With lyrics sung almost entirely in Russian, the band will appeal primarily to fans who are out to experience something new, or who enjoy folk metal in general.
