Six Degrees Of Separation can probably best be described as a symphonic, progressive Goth metal band with slight doom/death influences. Formed in 1997 from the remnants of a band called Abyss, the group soon cut their first demo of atmospheric doom metal. As is generally the case with any band, the first demo was quite rough - particularly the vocals. The determination of Six Degrees Of Separation was evident on their next demo, which showed improving vocals from bassist/vocalist Radek Zábojník as well as a stronger sense of songwriting. Moon 2002 : Noctunral Breed is yet again a step forward for the band, with Radek overcoming any doubts about his vocal abilities. Incorporating some female vocal elements into their sound, SDOS will appeal to fans of Evergrey, Beseech, and Sentenced.
