A truly unclassifiable band, Rakoth blends elements of black metal, folk melodies, traditional instrumentation, and a bit of progressive experimentation to create music that is harsh, ethereal, aggressive, and catchy. Formed in 1996, the band underwent several line up changes before settling on their current configuration, which does not include a drummer. Fans of folk metal, and extreme metal bands that incorporate melody and experimentation will find interest with Rakoth.
