Ozzy Osbourne   Origin: United Kingdom     This page updated 12.02.05   Anyone remotely familiar with the world of heavy metal, and many who are not, have heard of the Godfather of Metal - Ozzy Osbourne. From his beginnings as the crazed frontman of Black Sabbath, to his tumultuous solo career, to the Black Sabbath reunion and ongoing Ozzfest concert series, Ozzy's life and times have been documented in great detail at many other fine web sites. Therefore, I won't go into much narrative detail. As far as the music of his solo career, I feel his classic work (albums before The Ultimate Sin is his best. Ozzy's debut album, Blizzard Of Ozz, has stood the test of time as one of the greatest metal albums of all-time. His music after that seemed to fall into an uninspired rut, but has once again emerged strong with his most recent - Down To Earth.
