Having suffered a series of line-up changes, Detroit-based Forge have managed to soldier on and deliver an old-school, classic metal sound that is refreshing in America's oversaturated nu-metal market. I say refreshing not only for the nostalgic metal trip, but also because of the modern elements and groove this foursome weaves into their songwriting. Fans of Megadeth and early Metallica, along with those fond of Iced Earth, and Jag Panzer, will find plenty to enjoy from Forge. The departure of John Dearry resulted in the break-up of the band, who played their final show on 20 November 2004.
