Originally formed in 2000 by frontman Gabriel Colón and bass player Hector Torres, Fast Taker suffered a turbulent period of lineup changes until meeting up with guitarist Yamil González and drummer José Colón in 2004. Heavy gigging and local radio airplay have propelled the band to the top of the Puerto Rican metal scene, with their self-titled demo being released in the summer of 2005. The band embraces the melodic metal sound of such '80s icons as Judas Priest, Metallica and Iron Maiden, along with a bit of Poison and Dokken.
