Producing acts such as To/Die/For, H.I.M., and Sentenced, Finland has been known as a hotbed of Goth metal activity. Entwine fits snugly among the aforementioned bands with their catchy yet somber melodies, clean baritone vocals, and heavy guitar riffs. As expected with this genre, keyboards are everpresent and enhance the depressive mood while at the same time providing much of the memorable melodies. Actually starting life in 1995 as a death metal outfit, Entwine has progressed to offer some of the most accessible Goth rock produced in recent years. Fans of the genre will enjoy the band, though they don't offer much in the way of innovation.
