Dawn is an extremely young band from Northern Ireland who have, in my opinion, an amazing sound that is sure to take the metal world by storm. Forming in January of 2003, the band gigged relentlessly before recording their debut EP Veil of Sorrow. Combining elements of doom metal, classic metal, and black metal (furious guitar leads and double-kick), Dawn delivers in a big with with hook-laden melodies and kick ass solos from Ian Harper. Giving the band that extra "something" that sets them apart from the multitude of other highly talented groups is the distinctive voice of Amy Robinson. Possessing a certain innocent quality, she sails above the moody riffs and really breathes life into the songs. The band will be releasing their debut full length on Lone Wolf Records in early 2005.
