Sweden's Crystal Eyes have been scratching away at the underbelly of the European power metal scene since 1992, releasing a series of impressive demos before landing a deal with Crazy Life Music for their 1999 debut. Since that time, the band has maintained a relatively stable lineup while cranking out their four albums of quality, if typical, power metal. For their latest release, Confessions Of The Maker, founder Mikael Dahl recruited ex-Lost Horizon frontman Daniel Heiman to take over vocal duties. Proving to be only a one-off deal, Daniel has departed and newcomer Soren Adamsen will be taking over vocal duties. Crystal Eyes will appeal to power metal fans who value heaviness and aggression over neo-classical and symphonic elements.
