Drummer Mirko Montresor and guitarist Roberto Sieff formed Broken Hearted in 2002 out of a desire to create melodic metal with an emphasis placed on Gothic keyboard atmospheres. Originally contributing only a guest vocal appearance for one track of the band's debut demo, Roberta Staccuneddu (Evenfall) stayed on to record the vocals for the entire release. Fans of melodic Gothic metal will love Broken Hearted.
