The suitably named Asskicker formed in 1997 and emphasize thrashy riffs with harsh vocals. Musically, Children of Bodom, Pantera, and old-school Bay Area thrash come to mind as comparisons. The vocals are a throaty black/death hybrid. Thick, tight, and having a knack for creating memorable riffs, Asskicker had the potential to advance their style of metal to another level but they appear to have dropped off the face of the earth.
