As Hope Dies is a young melodic death/thrash band out of Orange County, California. The bring to the table a heavy Swedish death metal influence (At The Gates, In Flames) that is tempered with a hardcore, almost noisecore, sound. Very typical of the American scream-metal bands flooding the scene these days. The band broke up after their 2003 release.
