Heavy Metal Tuesday: February 1, 2011

As if to right the ship after last week's inundation of new releases, there's only a couple of album hitting the streets this week.

Lazarus A.D.: Black Rivers Flow
The Wisconsin neo-thrashers Lazarus A.D. are back with the follow-up to their well-received debut. Black Rivers Flow marks a change in direction for the band, as the old-school influences are replaced by metalcore stylings in an attempt to intersect with the mainstream.

Pushking: The World As We Love It
The umteenth album from Russian hard rockers Pushking is an all-star affair, featuring appearances by Alice Cooper, Billy Gibbons, Joe Lynn Turner, Glenn Hughes, and many more. As you can imagine, The World As We Love It includes a significant helping of classic rock ingredients.
